This is something you need to talk to your supplier about. Some suppliers require you to ship the inventory right away, and others are more willing to hold on to the inventory for you. So, until you talk to your supplier about ungating and see what their policy is, there is no way to know.

If you communicate with your supplier and let them know that you are working to get ungated and what you need from them, they will most likely be able to hold on to the inventory for you.

If that is the case, make sure you have an agreement in place with your supplier in the event you are not able to get ungated, you can still return the inventory for a full refund or store credit.
