Question: Amazon has told me to remove or dispose of my inventory. How do I create a removal order?


When your products are damaged (by shipping companies, Amazon, or customers), Amazon will list your product for removal which mean Amazon is asking you to elect to either i. have your damaged inventory shipped somewhere or ii. pay Amazon a small fee to dispose of your inventory. 

You might also choose to have items "removed" or shipped back to you from Amazon for various reasons (ex. you sold the product somewhere else and now need to deliver it, you want to take product out to decrease storage fees, etc.). 

Below we explain various ways to remove or dispose of your inventory; 

1. Remove Unfulfilled Inventory:

Step 1: Click "Manage All Inventory" at the top left of seller central, then you can find "Remove Unfulfillable Inventory" at the top of that page. See Screenshot:

Step 2: Click "Create Removal Order" next to each product you want removed or check the box next to each product you want to have removed, then click Action (top left) and select "Create Removal Order".

Step 3: Enter the address where you want the inventory shipped to (usually your home, office, or 3PL Warehouse) and click continue at the bottom of the page.

2. Remove Active Inventory: 

Step 1: Go to the manage FBA Invenotry tab, check the box next to the inventory you want to remove, click the Action on Selected drop down at the top left of the inventory table and select Remove Inventory.

Step 3: Enter the address where you want the inventory shipped to (usually your home, office, or 3PL Warehouse), the quantity of fulfillable inventory that you want to remove, and click continue at the bottom of the page.

3. Dispose of Unfulfilled Inventory:
